Tampa Certified ASHI Inspectors
Our Qualifications
Our home inspectors are intimately familiar with both the theoretical and practical aspects of building construction and analysis. All home inspector candidates seeking employment with the company must have a minimum of 10 years construction experience, preferably as a journeyman tradesman. Once hired, all home inspection candidates are required to attend 90 hours of specialized instruction and certification from the only ASHI endorsed home inspection academy, Inspection Training Associates (ITA), regardless of their construction experience or background. In addition, all of our home inspectors must achieve a minimum of 40 continuing education training hours each year. We adhere to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as required by ASHI and FABI.
Our home inspectors are all tested and certified by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors, and are required to achieve full membership with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and the Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI). In addition, all of our home inspectors are required to be tested and certified as Residential Building Inspector, Residential Electrical Inspector, Residential Plumbing Inspector, and Residential Mechanical Inspector, by the International Code Council (ICC), which is the testing authority for all Florida State and County Code Inspection Officials. Very few private home inspectors achieve any of the ICC certifications. Full certification is absolutely mandatory for our home inspectors, as we believe our clients expect, and deserve only the best qualified.
It is recommended that you choose a home inspector who is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), Registered Professional Inspector with the Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI), and ICC code certified as a Residential Combination Inspector.
